Privacy Policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
The short version
- We collect what we need to alert you: your email, the places you go to shows, the artists you follow and your alert settings.
- We never sell your information, never show ads and never share your data with advertisers.
- If you connect Apple Music, we read which artists are in your library and nothing else. We don't keep your Apple Music sign-in or listening history.
- You can delete your account at any time, in the app or on the website. It's removed right away.
Face Value (“Face Value,” “we,” “us”) is a service of Find Face Value LLC. It tells fans when concert tickets go on sale so they can buy at face value from the official seller. This policy covers the Face Value website, iPhone app, alerts and calendar feeds (together, the “Service”).
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account: your email address and password, or the name and email that Google or Apple share when you sign in with them. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email; we then get an Apple relay address. We never see your Google or Apple password, and passwords you set with us are stored only in hashed form by our sign-in provider.
- Name and photo: the first name (and, if you like, last name) you ask us to call you, and a profile photo if you add one. Only you see them, in your account and the app; they aren't shown to other fans. We shrink your photo to a small square and remove hidden details such as where it was taken. You can change or remove either anytime, and deleting your account deletes both.
- Places: the cities you choose (up to six) and how far you'll travel from each. We store the city name and its map coordinates, not your street address.
- Artists and alerts: artists you follow, which alerts you want (presales, general on-sales, the day before, email), and alerts you turn on or off for individual sales.
- Presale access: if you tell us which presale programs you can use (for example, a credit card brand or a fan club), so we can show which sales you qualify for. We never ask for card numbers or presale codes.
- Calendar: which calendar you use (Apple or Google) and which sales you add to it. If you connect Google Calendar, we keep an encrypted key that lets us manage the one "Face Value" calendar we create in your Google account, and the id of that calendar.
- App waitlist: your email, if you ask us to tell you when the app launches.
- Messages: anything you send us when you contact support.
Information from services you connect
- Apple Music: if you connect Apple Music, we read which artists are in your library once, so you can follow them on Face Value. We use that permission only for that. We don't store your Apple Music sign-in, tokens or listening history.
Information collected automatically
- Device: on the app, a push notification token so we can send alerts to your phone, and your device's time zone so sale times show correctly.
- Approximate location: before you pick a city, we may suggest one based on your internet connection's approximate location or your time zone. We don't use GPS unless you tap “Use my location,” and we store only the city you choose.
- Usage: we count taps on ticket links and invite links, record how you first found Face Value (website, app or a friend's invite), and keep the date you last used the app or website (the day only, to count how many fans use Face Value each week). Ticket-link counts are not tied to your account.
- Logs: our servers and providers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser or device type and request times) to keep the Service secure and working. Our rate limiter holds IP addresses in memory for about a minute.
- Browser storage: the website stores your sign-in session and a few preferences in your browser's local storage. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
How we use it
- To find the sales that matter to you and send alerts by push notification, email or calendar.
- To run your account, on the website and in the app.
- To help you when you contact us. Support actions on your account are logged so we can see what was changed and by whom. Our team may also keep short notes and labels on your account (for example, what you asked us and what we did) so anyone helping you knows the history. They're only for our team, never shown to others or used for advertising, and never include presale codes.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the Service is used and to improve it: how many people sign up, what they follow, which alerts are useful.
- To credit friends who invite you. If you arrive through someone's invite link, they see a count of friends who joined, not who you are.
- To handle billing, if you choose Face Value+.
- To protect the Service, prevent abuse and follow the law.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as California law defines those terms). We don't show ads.
Who helps us run Face Value
We use these service providers, which process information only to provide their service to us:
| Provider | What they do |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Accounts, sign-in, database and profile photo storage |
| Railway | Hosts our servers |
| Expo | Delivers push notifications to the app |
| Google, Apple | Sign-in, if you use them; Apple Music, if you connect it; Google Calendar, if you connect it; the App Store |
| Email provider | Sends sign-in and alert emails |
| Stripe | Processes payments. We never see or store your full card number |
| RevenueCat | Manages Face Value+ bought in the iPhone app through the App Store. When the iPhone app opens (where it sells Face Value+), RevenueCat receives your Face Value account ID, your App Store purchase and renewal records, and basic device details such as the iOS version and IP address. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details |
Google Calendar. If you connect Google Calendar, Face Value asks Google only for permission to create its own "Face Value" calendar and manage the events on it. We can't see, read or change your other calendars or events, and we don't get your Google email or profile. We add, update and remove the ticket sales you've added in Face Value (and, if you turn on auto-add, the sales for your artists), each with a reminder 15 minutes before. Disconnecting in Settings (or in your Google Account's third-party access page) stops this; disconnecting in Settings also deletes the Face Value calendar and our key, and so does deleting your account. Face Value's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't sell it, use it for ads, or let people read it.
Ticket information comes from official sellers such as Ticketmaster. When you tap a ticket link, you leave Face Value and the seller's own privacy policy applies. Face Value isn't affiliated with Ticketmaster or any ticket seller.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy still covers your information).
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile (including your name and photo), places, follows, alert settings, devices, calendar picks and any Google Calendar connection, messages you sent us and our team's notes and labels on your account right away. A few records stay: anonymous counts (such as ticket-link taps), a record of support actions taken on the account, billing records we must keep for tax and accounting, and backups that roll off within about 30 days. Messages you send us from Help are deleted 90 days after we've dealt with them. App waitlist emails are kept until the app launches and we've emailed you; deleting your account removes yours too, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
Your choices and rights
- See and change your information in the app (You) or on the website (My account).
- Turn off alerts of any kind in Settings, or turn off push notifications in your phone's settings.
- Disconnect your calendar in Settings (for Google Calendar, this also removes the Face Value calendar and our access). To stop Face Value reading your Apple Music library, turn off its access in your iPhone's Settings (Privacy & Security › Media & Apple Music), or contact us and we'll remove it.
- Delete your account: You › Account › Delete account in the app, or My account › Account on the website.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it or to delete it, using the contact below. We'll respond within 30 days. You won't be treated differently for making a request. California residents have these rights under the CCPA; we offer them to everyone.
Security
Information travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Each account can reach only its own data, and our staff access is limited to what support needs. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach affecting you, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Children
Face Value isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
